The undecided voters are blind idiots, so who knows? How can someone be undecided? Wrong, sure. I can see how someone can be wrong, but in this day and age with candidates so clearly distinct how can someone be on the fence?

No need for confusion. I know the POW thing is a joke. But—what will the undecided voters think and, if all other things are equal, will they give it credence it does not deserve?

I’m now confused. What I meant was that Mccain’s POW record is a joke.

The “debates” aren’t. They are now just open ended questions that amount to “spout your latest talking points”. The candidates don’t debate with each other, and they don’t even get hard hitting questions. And, like I said, they can say anything and there is no fact-checking except by the Daily Show.

I’m not so sure. The race is now 46-46-8. It’s that 8 who may decide, well, a war hero POW might better understand the military and security and besides there’s not a dimes worth of difference between the Democrat Party and the Republic Party anyway. Speaking of race, I’m assuming the bigots are already firmly in the McCain camp and that the 8% will decide on other grounds. The debates are crucial, don’t you think?

Everyone is kidding about the POW thing, some just don’t admit or realize it. :-)

My favorite thing about the entire political circus is that the candidates can say anything they want, and no one except a comedy news show calls them out on it. Whee!

You’re kidding about the relevance of the POW thing, right? Like Rudy and 9/11? If not, check out vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com. McCain allegedly gave up the routes, altitudes, turns and targets of our planes in exchange for better treatment. Within a month of his capture the North Vietnamese anti-aircraft battery advantage increased the kill rate against us such that US forces had to severely curtail missions. Then there is the question of how someone who graduated 6th from the bottom of 867 in his USNA class was rewarded with a plum flight school assignment. And the rest of his flight record, for that matter.

My favorite spin was during the RNC when… was it Romney? He proudly expounded upon how the Repubs were the party that freed the slaves. Technically true, but it’s a different party now.

Also, have I mentioned that McCain was a POW? I feel that’s important to mention while discussing these values that are crucial to American families.
